From time to time, after doing a Google search, people who are trying to find information about my Spun Cotton Ornaments and Izannah Walker Dolls wind up here at my 18th Century Home Keeping Journal. I realize that three blogs and a website can be a bit confusing.
So if you saw my spun cotton figures in Prims or Art Doll Quarterly, click here to visit my spun cotton blog.
If you read about my Izannah Walker dolls in Early American Life or saw my ads in A Simple Life or Prims magazines, click here to go to my Izannah Walker Doll Making Journal.
Dear Paula, I have been making clothes from the Izannah dress pattern purchased some time ago.. Due to circumstances beyond my control, this is the first chance I’ve had to use it. Oh My Goodness Me. They are beautiful.
The photos you display are delightful, but do not do the dresses justice. My dolls are shoulder plate ” porcelain” ( more likely ceramic) from recycling shops etc., but the pattern adapts well and suits them all wonderfully.
I have been using light colours and prints ,producing dainty, flower like outfits
with matching bonnets. and my little ladies look lovely. I keep looking at the photos discovering different styles for necklines and sleeves and Oooh it’s So Much Fun. I hope to send a photo or two soon, I just have to work out how. The lady at the local library is a mine of information so I’ll find out from her. In the meantime I have a new quilt to start (and a couple to finish) ( don’t we all)
and a family wedding two weeks away Busy busy busy LOL from Australia

I’m so glad that you are enjoying the pattern! It always makes me happy to hear that 🙂 I would love to see photos. I know that I have stacks of quilts in various stages to work on… I hope the wedding is wonderful.
Happy Quilting!
